It was a great weekend for MMA in the Okanagan. On Friday we got to observe a sparring session between 2 of the UFC's best. Kenny Florian, visiting for the weekend, took on the resident Rory MacDonald. Later Friday Kenny attended the Aggression MMA event in Vernon, where he was the evening's guest of honor. It was a great fight card, and these are the results:

UFC 106 went down this past weekend, and as usual we went to enjoy the viewing party at the Edgewater Casino here in Vancouver. Pretty decent night of fights. The most interesting development was Little Nog knocking out Luiz Cane. 4 of his last 6 victories have now come from KO/TKO. As if the Noguieras weren't menacing enough because of their grappling, now one of them has KO power. It's kind of like if Sharks were able to fly. This Saturday is UFC 105. It's happening in England, so it's going to be one of those situations where you'll need to avoid the internet all day so as not to see any spoilers before you can watch the event. Andrei Arlovski will be on Bully Beatdown tomorrow night. The Pitbull is definitely not somebody I would want to be locked in a cage with.
